Fresh and frozen. These Summer cocktail recipes are served with the season’s freshest fruit, and some are even frozen. Margaritas, Moscow mules and more!
Earl Grey Cocktail
This cocktail reminds me of Spring and Summer when all the honeysuckles are on the trees in the South. So refreshing and nostalgic! Making the Earl Grey simple syrup is easy. Steep a few bags in equal parts sugar and water and strain. Get the full recipe here.
Strawberry Ginger BeerRita
Around here Cinco de Mayo is celebrated all year long! Grab some ginger beer, fresh strawberries and limes to make this delicious Summer take on a margarita. Full recipe here.
Basil Beer Lemonade
Last year, we took not one but three trips to Miami. When near the Coconut Grove area, we always make a point to stop by our favorite restaurant in The Grove called LuLu’s. This is where I discovered how amazing it is to combine beer and liquor to make a cocktail more “Manly” This basil beer lemonade has Cointreau, Lemonade, Basil Leaves and Shock Top. Get the full recipe here.
Raspberry Moscow Mule
As you’ll note from the Strawberry Ginger BeerRita recipe above, fresh fruit purees really take your cocktail game to the next level. One of my favorite cocktails on The Southern Source is this raspberry moscow mule!
Frosé (Frozen Rosé)
Frozen Rosé can be quite hard to track down at your local bar and restaurant. Which is why I took it upon myself to create my own that I can sip and enjoy in my own backyard. I love using a DASH blender or Vitamix to achieve the best and quickest result, but you can make this frozen Rosé in any blender and freeze it. Read full instructions here.
Yellow Hammer
There is truly no time or occasion that a Yellow Hammer isn’t welcome. The pineapple juice and coconut rum make this Alabama cocktail on permanent “island time.”
