Pack your bags, because I’m about to tell you how to “do Miami right.” My sister lives in Miami, so we travel down there often, but in 2018 I went on two bachelorette trips in Miami, FL.
While Miami may be a little more expensive than some other popular destinations, it’s totally worth it in terms of what this area has to offer, plus the weather is gorgeous! My recommendations below are not just for Miami bachelorette trips. If you are looking for an A+ time you cannot go wrong at any of these restaurants, bars, or activities.
**The asterisks note my absolute favorite spots that you cannot miss!
Where to Stay in Miami for Bachelorette Trip
We’ve stayed in Coconut Grove and South Beach for both Bachelorette trips this year and both were great areas to stay for Bachelorette weekends in Miami, FL.
Coconut Grove is one of my favorite areas of Miami. It’s proximity to the bay is great for boating excursions and other outdoor activities. It’s a little quieter than South Beach, so you might like to stay in Coconut Grove and just travel to South Beach whenever you feel like turning up the heat a little! It’s only a 25-30 minute Uber from Coconut Grove to South Beach.
Coconut Grove, Miami
Our Airbnb was the perfect bungalow for the 8 girls we had on our trip. It had a private little oasis out back with a small pool surrounded by lush greenery. We were within walking distance to a liquor store (major plus), as well as coffee shops and restaurants. The boat we rented docked out of the bay near the Rusty Pelican, which is one of my favorite places to eat while in the Miami bay area called Biscayne Bay. The views from the Rusty Pelican are breathtaking, and the food and service are superb.
Places to Eat in Coconut Grove
**Lulu’s – amazing menu that everyone will like. Best bloody mary! (spicy & cool)
**Greenstreet Café – Brunch and Drinks
Peacock Garden Bistro – Brunch / Drinks
Royal Sonesta Rooftop bar (Panorama Restaurant and Lounge)
Places to Stay in South Beach for Miami Bachelorette Trip
For our second bachelorette trip to Miami in 2018, we decided to stay in South Beach. We loved the Coconut Grove area, but we did spend a significant amount of time and money traveling to South Beach at night to eat and go out, so we opted to stay in the South Beach area for this trip.
If you aren’t set on a specific place to stay, I highly recommend going onto HotWire.com and doing the HOT RATE hotel pool. You can set the filter to whatever star rating you are looking for. We know we wanted a nice pool scene on the beach and were looking for similar hotels such as the Fountainbleu, Edition, Confidante, Eden Roc, etc.
The HotWire HOT RATE tool won’t tell you which hotel you get until after you book, but they will guarantee that you will get 1 of 4 hotel options. For us, it said we would get 1 of the 4 I listed above so we proceeded and ended up with The Confidante!
