I love that the world has stamped each day of the week with a different #hashtag or catchy phrase. It honestly makes planning meals much easier when you have an alliterative theme to go off of.
As you well know, #WineWednesdays usually consist of one of my favorite affordable wines and honestly maybe just some cheese.
When I think of Thursdays, I think of #ThirstyThursdays in Birmingham which involve $2 pints of beer and stadium nachos at the Baron’s baseball games. But, if you’re cooking at home, I love the idea of calling this day of the week #ThriftyThursday. This is where you would try to make something delicious on a budget (think fried rice or soups).
#Friyay #Fryday or as it’s better known on UA’s Sorority Row, #FriedFriday. It’s the weekend, treat yo-self to something dipped in grease!
Copycat Chuy’s Jalapeno Ranch Dip
The best day to go to Chuy’s? EVERY DAY. If you share the same obsession with this Tex-Mex restaurant then you know how amazing the Jalapeno Ranch Dip is. What’s even better is that it’s complimentary when you dine-in! Here’s what we suspect to be in Chuy’s Jalapeno Ranch Dip:
- Sour Cream
- Ranch Dressing Mix (dry packet)
- Lime juice
Alas, the wait at Chuy’s can sometimes be outrageous, so we’ll opt for a taco night at the casa. You can make this jalapeno ranch dip and serve it with tortilla chips, or slap some on your taco. You can even dress a salad with it! So many possibilities.
You’ll need a blender, food processor, or immersion blender to get the perfect consistency. Get full recipe below!
