Hi, and welcome to baby nursery inspiration land! I am now in my second trimester and am starting to feel the reality of pregnancy start to kick in. Speaking of kicks, I’m hoping to start feeling some movement soon. I’ve heard around 20 weeks?! Catch up on all things pregnancy here (Q & A blog post)
Up until this week, I’ve honestly been a bit stuck on nursery design, but I suddenly got a burst of creativity this week and have been staying up late working on these nursery mockups and I’m really excited to share them with you!
Boy, Girl & Gender Neutral Nursery Ideas
Let’s take a look at some seriously cute ideas for how to decorate your nursery. I think this could be one of the most fun rooms in the house to decorate. Why? Decorating a nursery gives you the chance to tap into your inner child. You can put little drops of dreams you have for your child into every corner of the room. Although we really have no idea what our child’s interests will be, it’s fun to imagine!
Nursery Room Design Ideas
In our new home, we have the perfect space to create Baby T’s nursery. The floor plan that we built with Signature Homes has 2 bedrooms and 2 full baths downstairs, which is wonderful so we can have easy access to the baby’s room on the same floor as ours. You can check out more behind the scenes of our home build here. DM or email any questions you have about building, our floor plan, area of town, etc. I’m happy to share!
Below, I’ve included a few design ideas for baby boy nurseries that I hope to excite and inspire you!

This boy nursery furniture design is out of this world! I first fell in love with this fun and playful star rug (which comes in a couple of different colors). You honestly could go in some many fun directions with this star rug for a baby boy nursery. This cute moon lamp is under $100!

Gender-Neutral Nursery Ideas
My 20-week appointment is coming up next week which means we are having our anatomy scan! This is the appointment where we will be able to confirm the gender of Baby T! Be sure you’re following me on Instagram. We will be making the official gender reveal announcement there!
We have some friends that are a few months ahead of us and they are waiting to find out the gender at birth. I think that is so cool! These gender-neutral nurseries are the perfect design choice for those who are waiting to find out the gender, or if you’re like me and really prefer a more gender-neutral design and color palette overall.
A nursery design that’s calm, cool, and collected — just like you hope you’re baby is going to be, right?! Go for this completely coastal nursery idea. It’s perfect for a gender-neutral nursery with its light hues and playful beach-themed art.

Life is about to be one big fun circus! I love the playful elements in this circus-themed nursery. This hanging canopy, scalloped light, and more! This creamy-white nightstand is under $200.

Boho nurseries have become a very popular nursery design choice. They incorporate many different colors, textures, and give you the opportunity to be extra playful with shapes throughout the room design. Boho nurseries are known for bohemian design elements like dreamcatchers, woven rattan furniture, large arches, and neutral color palettes with pops of color. I love this minimalistic wooden lamp for under $50 and this rattan caddy! Shop this entire bohemian gender-neutral nursery below.
Baby Girl Nursery Ideas
Looking for a refined and feminine design for your baby girl’s nursery? Look no further! I have a few feminine nursery designs that are so sweet. For baby girl nursery decor, I love the look of ethereal florals, creamy whites, pale pinks, gold accents, and touches of acrylic. These nursery designs I’ve created are full of affordable finds. Even this floral flush mount light fixture is only $150 and these curtains are just $70 for a set of 2! (My favorite gold curtain rod linked here) When this nursery design came together it gave me royal family vibes so I named it “High Tea Nursery.”

Gray and White Girl Nursery Ideas
I was inspired by this amazing chinoiserie imitation art I found at Target. This 3-piece art set has such detail and would make a nice eye-catching statement in a little girl’s nursery… Priced so well under $100! If you are going for a calm, yet feminine nursery, this grayed out girls nursery should be giving you all the feels. After finding a few killer nursery-inspired items on Target.com I decided to source this entire room design from Target.
Do you prefer to shop from one place? Or hop around to 100 different shops to put a room together? Everyone is different when it comes to the level of time you’re willing to put into a room’s design, but I think it’s a real time saver when you can find a one-stop-shop. In my opinion, you can design an entire room from Target and make it look super high-end. TARGET FOR THE WIN!
