Obsessed with your dog? Wish you could spend all hours of the day together? Yeah us too! But between working a full-time job, creating content for the blog, and attending events in Birmingham during the week, I am usually left feeling like our furry friend hasn’t gotten the attention she deserves.
Which is why we try and revolve some of our weekend activities around being dog-friendly. My husband and I live in Birmingham, AL in a neighborhood with close proximity to some of the cities most popular areas so we love to get out and explore Birmingham on the weekends. Thankfully, in the last few years, Birmingham has started to become more and more dog-friendly! Now can enjoy going out to eat or grabbing drinks with all of our friends, including the furry ones!
Today, I’m sharing some of our favorite fur-friendly spots to go in the Summer and how to keep both you and your pup hydrated during all your fun activities.

If we’re in town, a typical Saturday in Birmingham starts with a workout. I’ll grab a girlfriend and we’ll either hit the gym or one of our favorite boutique-style studios to get our sweat on. When we’re done working out, it’s all about the pups for the rest of the day! Of course, we need to refuel so we look to find pet-friendly places for food and drink.

Dog Parks in Birmingham
Bonnie is a little energizer bunny, so it takes a lot of activity to wear her out! We really enjoy taking her to Crestline Park which is a hidden park in the middle of a neighborhood near Mountain Brook. There is a newly renovated kids playground and a walking track that surrounds a large grass area. If you’re at Saw’s Juke Joint, it’s directly behind that. But even that description might not help you find this hidden dog park! Because if you don’t know what you’re looking for, you might miss it!
Tip: Type in 407 Hagood Street Birmingham, AL on your GPS. This should get you close enough to see the tiny park sign and shaded tunnel entrance!
