What is the Best Time of Year to Visit Asheville, NC?
What’s the best time of the year to visit Asheville you may ask? Well, in this gal’s opinion any time of the year is great, but if I had to pick a season it would be fall. The Blue Ridge mountains and surrounding areas are well known for their colorful foliage, and there’s no better place to see the colors of the season than in the mountains of North Carolina.
Asheville is minutes from the entrance to the Blue Ridge Parkway, where you have spectacular views of the mountains and the changing of the leaves. It is also a great place to pack a picnic lunch, relax and enjoy the day. If you happen go in the winter, especially between Thanksgiving and Christmas, definitely make plans to visit the Biltmore House, decorated in all its splendor for the holiday season!
So, plan your trip to Asheville any time of the year, because no matter the weather, you will not be disappointed in what this gem of a city has to offer!
Fall in Asheville is such a magical time! I went last year during peak season and got engaged while hiking Black Balsam Knob. It was incredible! Asheville is a place we will continue to go back to year after year! I also hear Spingtime is gorgeous.
OMG that is amazing! Congrats on the engagement! That’s such a good spot to do it. He did good 🙂
