Lunch at the Oxford Exchange in Tampa, FL | Tampa Business Journal
The Oxford Exchange in Tampa, FL
When you step foot in this establishment you are immediately transported into a European dream. The architecture is quite the treat for your visual senses! The European-inspired space features a restaurant, bookstore, coffeehouse and shop with decor & gifts. You really could spend all day here. Drink a morning cup of coffee while perusing through the library and get cozy in the most well-designed reading nooks you’ve ever seen. Then pop over into the atrium for a light lunch, coupled with a crisp glass of white wine or prosecco. After a few glasses, you’ll want to try some on your face. No… not the wine, silly! There’s a Warby Parker store co-habitating with the bookstore.

The Buddy Brew Coffee Bar
You’ll be excited when you get here, but just in case you need a little pick me up to get your day rolling, stop by the coffee bar and enjoy a hot or cold specialty brew. They also have delicious bakery treats that will go perfectly with a shot of espresso. Take a seat at one of the velvet tufted couches or at the bar if you have some work to catch up on. We’ll get our drinks to-go because there’s so much to do and see (+shop)!

The Oxford Exchange Restaurant
When you picture your perfect “Ladies Who Lunch” spot, this is it! Sit inside the atrium dining area and you won’t feel like you’re in Florida anymore. The checkered floors, mixes of marble, and ivy vine trellis wall places you right inside a London cafe. When we visited, they had crispy brussels sprouts with a lemon vinaigrette that were flash fried to perfection. We also kept it simple with a BLT grilled cheese that was simply delicious.
Events at the Oxford Exchange
First of all, can we just acknowledge the fiddle fig trees?! OBSESSED. Okay moving on to an important note about how this place hosts events. If you’re wondering if you can have your New Years Eve Wedding here, the answer is YES. We attended a NYE wedding here in 2017 and it was top drawer. If you live in Tampa, FL or are looking to have a destination wedding, you should consider this venue.
The pros to this venue are written on the walls. It’s gorgeous, upscale, and most of all it has variety. One thing to consider if interested in booking this venue for your wedding is that the square atrium that is pictured above will only seat around 75-100 people maximum. If you are planning on having a bigger wedding, then you might want to have the ceremony off-site and move to the party to the Oxford Exchange for cocktail hour and the reception. Unfortunately, I do not have any insight on pricing for their event space but you can read more about Oxford Exchange events when you visit their website!
