It’s been a hot minute since I’ve published my last travel guide (thanks Corona Virus!) I’m sure many of you are also excited that travel is picking back up. This year, it’s all about reconnecting and that is what prompted our most recent trip to 30A. We decided that we really needed to dedicate some time to reconnect with our friends and we found the perfect house in Watercolor to do so!
When I saw this house online, I knew we had to check it out! The Dew Drop Inn is the perfect house rental for families, friend groups, bachelorette parties, etc! It’s truly a home decor lover’s dream beach house on 30A which is why I had to partner this them to show you guys.
If you’re a longtime reader, you know how much I love the 30A area of Florida. There are so many nooks and crannies to explore and each village has its own charm and unique draw. The past few times we’ve traveled to 30A we stayed in the wonderful village of Watercolor and we loved every second of it. Today I’m going to give you a rundown of our weekend itinerary and details on the fabulous house we stayed in.
Where to Eat, Play and Stay in Watercolor, FL
For blogging purposes, the headline sounds best as “eat play stay” but in reality, you’ll want to work backward when planning a vacation. Finding the perfect place to stay in 30A can sometimes be a challenge especially during peak travel seasons so look and book early!
Watercolor is centrally located in the long stretch of 30A. We love staying here because it’s great for biking, has close proximity to the grocery store, and is surrounded by amazing restaurants, bars, and shops.
We booked our stay at Dew Drop Inn after seeing their #InstagramWorthy interiors on social media. You all know how big of a sucker I am for a pretty backdrop! The homeowner hired a professional designer based out of Nashville to help her with the interiors. If you’re looking for interior inspiration, be sure to check out the designer @juliecouchinteriors on Instagram. She does great work!
As soon as you walk in the doors of the Dew Drop Inn, you’ll instantly notice that no detail was missed. It’s a brand new property — so new in fact that I think we christened the grill with our steaks!
We did have to dodge some rain while we were there, but the wrap-around porch was the perfect place to wait out a storm, quick shower, or fussy baby! This was our first friend trip traveling with all of our little ones. We learned pretty quickly that when your children are young, you’re likely to be spending more time in the condo/house than you will at the beach or the pool, so you better love your rental!

For us, one of the big perks was the location of this house! The Dew Drop Inn is situated at the end of the street which backs up to the shopping center parking lot. Within walking distance, you have access to Publix, Pizza by the Sea, The Perfect Pig, and a liquor store (SCORE!)
After checking in, we walked/strolled over to Publix to grab groceries for the weekend. It was actually a fun little activity which was really nice because I typically hate going to the store when I get to the beach.
For us, this accessibility pretty much sealed the vacation in — but there are so many other things I want to tell you about!
The Dew Drop Inn | Watercolor
Our house had plenty of room for 4 couples, 3 babies under one, and all of our individual gear (pack-n-plays, bouncers, coolers, etc)! While the babies napped we hung out on the wrap-around porch and took turns going on bike rides around beautiful Watercolor and Seaside. It’s so fun just riding around and looking at all the beach houses and popping into shops.
The Dew Drop Inn house comes with five complimentary bikes, so one afternoon the girls and I had a blast biking over to Seaside for some appetizers and drinks while the babies napped and the boys had one eye on football and one eye on the babes!
While in Seaside we enjoyed some delicious margaritas, chips, and queso at The Taco Bar and then made our way upstairs to the rooftop at Bud & Alleys. I highly recommend their fish dip and the Coconut Mojito (it tastes a lot like my SPF 30A cocktail)
One biggest draws for us booking The Dew Drop Inn was the complimentary access to the Watercolor Beach Club. You’ll want to take a car or rent a golf cart to get there, but it’s just a short 5-7 minute drive. Once inside you have access to 3 pools, water views, a fabulous beach bar, and access to a beautiful white sand beach.
Attached to the Watercolor Beach Club is another restaurant called Fish Out of Water. We visited this restaurant on Friday and had amazing food and cocktails. This was the night that we booked a babysitting service to watch our littles so we could have some adult time! The sitter service we used was called Babysitters at the Beach. They were so sweet and came recommended by our house and other sources close to us!
After dinner, we hit up AJs bar in Grayton Beach. This is THE spot for Bachelorette groups! If The Dew Drop Inn had existed when I was on my 30A Bach party, I would have died and gone to heaven! Not only is this place #InstagramWorthy, but the owners have also done a fabulous job at making it feel like a real home away from home! You can easily book the Dew Drop Inn for your next vacation online here. Tell them The Southern Source sent you!
Our stay was comped in exchange for marketing services. All opinions are my own.
