Big pool parties and beach bonfires probably aren’t in our future, but we don’t need a large get together planned to look & feel good in our swimwear attire this season!
The Swim Issue
No, really I have an issue with swimsuits.
Ok, swimsuit shopping is the worst! There I said it! I don’t think I’m alone when I say that getting into a swimsuit can be a little daunting at times. Ok, one more big thing: I also struggle with finding swimsuits that I feel sufficiently cover my toosh. I mean, we’ve gotta make sure it passes the in-laws test, am I right?
Sharing my sizing below, in hopes to help you navigate buying from these brands.
All that said, I covet a good cover-up!
Best Swimsuit Coverups for Summer
When shopping for a swimsuit coverup I want to make sure it covers a few bases.
A throw-on-and-go beach dress or romper is one of the best closet purchases you can make approaching the warmer months. Not only do swimsuit coverups keep you cool and covered when you’re traveling from the beach, pool, or lake, but there’s a good chance you’ll need it to serve as loungewear at the house, dining alfresco, or as acceptable grocery store attire.
A good universal swimsuit cover-up should:
- Have lightweight, quick-drying fabric
- Be comfortable
- Be able to dress up a little
- Option to close the front
- Long enough to wear for public outings
- Versatile, easy to style with all swimsuit styles
Here are my swimsuit and cover-up picks. Don’t forget to peek the sandal section too!
When shopping quality swimwear, I love a good reversible suit. 2-for-1!
