Spinach Artichoke Dip
Your best game-time decision this week will be picking up the ingredients to make this delicious spinach artichoke dip! Whether you are hosting family night, girls night, or a game day tailgate, this dip is sure to be a crowd pleaser!
The creamy sauce can seem intimidating at first, but you will find it is easier to prepare than you might think. You can watch a tutorial on How to Make Spinach Artichoke Dip on my YouTube channel.

Best Spinach Dips Around
When it comes to eating out and indulging in some real-deal bar food, I feel like I am a pro… and a tad picky. I have become quite the nacho aficionado; I’m also a huge fan of spinach dip in all shapes and sizes! Some of my favorite spinach dips come in the form of queso. Yes, QUESO! The Spinach Con Queso from J. Alexanders is a true culinary delight. Order up at any of their restaurants located throughout the South and the Midwest. Note: Some of their stores have been renamed Redlands Grill. Another personal favorite of mine is the Lobster Spinach Queso from Firebirds. The lobster takes this dip to another level. Need I say more?
8 Ingredient Spinach Artichoke Dip
To save time for your next gathering, you could buy a spinach dip from a restaurant; quite an expensive option, but please, whatever you decide, do not purchase one from the frozen section at the grocery store!! Instead, make this one from scratch, and impress the crowd. You need only 8 ingredients to “Git R Done.”
1 bag fresh spinach
1 can marinated artichokes
1 small yellow onion, finely chopped
3 cloves of garlic, minced
⅓ cup milk
6 oz cream cheese, softened
Shredded mozzarella cheese
Red pepper flakes
If you’re not a big fan of artichokes, no worries, just leave them out. Enjoy!

Easy Spinach Artichoke Dip
Baked Spinach Artichoke Dip to impress your next game day crowd!
Ingredients
- 1 small yellow onion diced
- 3 cloves garlic minced
- 1 package raw spinach
- 1/3 cup milk
- 6 oz. cream cheese softened
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
Instructions
-
Pre-heat oven to 400 degrees. Place baking rack in a high position.
-
Drizzle olive oil into pan over medium heat and add in diced onion. Let cook until translucent (about 3-4 minutes). Add salt and pepper.
-
Turn heat down slightly to add in your minced garlic. Stir for about one minute, then add in spinach (can add in groups because it takes up so much room until its cooked down). Add salt and pepper.
-
Once spinach has wilted completely, transfer to colander in sink to let drain while you make the cheese sauce.
-
In the same pan, bring milk to simmer and add in cream cheese. Stir until melted and everything is combined. Add red pepper flakes.
-
Use the back of your spoon, or spatula to press the spinach mixture into the sides of the colander to release any extra water. Transfer to a cutting board along with your marinated artichoke hearts and roughly chop.
-
Add spinach and artichokes to cheese sauce and combine.
-
Transfer entire mixture to small baking dish and cover with shredded mozzarella cheese. Bake in 400 degree oven for 15-20 minutes on the top rack.
