How are everyone’s New Years resolutions going? I’m sharing mine later in this post, but don’t worry if you haven’t hit the ground running with yours yet! I’m here to tell you about the FASTer Way to Fat Loss® program. I started it, and have already seen results! So sit tight, because I have a feeling it might be just the thing you to set some of your goals in motion.
You might be thinking, “I don’t have much fat to lose” and that’s ok! There are so many more benefits than just weight-loss. Let’s dive in!
Since it’s the new year I thought I’d start out by sharing a few of my goals with you! My short-term goal this year is to write 3 new blog posts per month, and I’m sad to admit this is my first one and we’re already halfway through the month. So, it looks as if I’m a little behind… But you know what? That’s okay because I’m adopting a new phrase, “Progress Over Perfection.” This is a new mentality that I am learning through the FASTer Way to Fat Loss® program.
As for my long-term goal, I decided that I wanted to become more intentional. I need to put more energy into creating a healthier lifestyle that is maintainable for ME. In a nutshell, my goal is to:
1️⃣ Create more routine
2️⃣Think more consciously about food planning for me and my husband
3️⃣Have a better-regimented workout schedule so I can look and feel my best
What drove me to sign-up for FASTer Way to Fatloss®
I was hesitant to sign up at first because I have never dieted before or committed to any specific way of eating for a long period of time. I was scared I wouldn’t be able to fulfill the program guidelines because of my “laissez-faire” lifestyle – but that’s the best thing about FASTer Way to Fat Loss® — It’s not a DIET!
But before we dive into my personal results and 2 Week Recap, I want to quickly lay down the foundation on what FASTer Way to Fat Loss® is and isn’t.
What is FASTer Way to Fat Loss?
It is not a “diet”. It is simply a “habit of eating.” The goal of FASTer Way to Fat Loss® is to turn your body into a fat-burning machine by incorporating workouts with intermittent fasting and carb cycling nutrition.
What is intermittent fasting?
The term “fasting” sounds scary but it isn’t! Intermittent fasting is a planned eating schedule. On the FASTer Way to Fat Loss®, we do 16/8 schedule, which means we fast for 16+ hours and schedule all meals into an 8-hour eating window.
I’ll be altering this while I’m breastfeeding. My coach Brandi, is helping me set and calculate these goals!
What is Carb Cycling?
A carb cycling program is an intentional variation of carbohydrate intake each week. Carb cycling plans consist of low carb days, higher-carb days, and regular macro days. On the FWTFL program, each day macro day is scheduled for a specific day of the week which also has a coordinating workout. They are designed to work together, as we all know fitness + nutrition go hand-in-hand to achieving a balanced lifestyle.
Tracking Macro Nutrients
In FASTer Way to Fat Loss®, we use the MyFitnessPal App (it’s free) to track our macronutrients each day. Macronutrients are comprised of carbs, fats, and proteins. When you join the program, your coach will walk you through how to set this up and teach you how to read this information in the app to make sure you are hitting your goals each day.
Here’s the Kicker
With FASTer Way you can still have a lot of good food, and alcohol! There are so many benefits to what this program has to offer and although I’ve only been doing it for a full two weeks, I have noticed many improvements in my lifestyle and overall feeling of health.
