This blender gets a big thumbs up from me for its user-friendliness. A comparable model you may be more familiar with is the Vitamix, which I have found to be a bit complicated to use. The labeled dials on the front of the DASH blender tell you exactly which task it will be performing. To quote one of my favorite infomercials, you basically can “set it and forget it” as the blender will change force, speed, and cadence depending on the setting you choose.
The most used settings in my recipes include the “smoothie”, the “frozen”, and the “puree”, but I have used them all! The “soup” setting is quite magical. You can place all your desired ingredients into the blender, press start, and in 8 minutes have piping hot soup, with perfect consistency.
