Manly Cocktails

What do you get the dad that has everything? Play into experiences! Read on to get my Father’s Day Gift Guide.

Unique Father’s Day Gifts and Ideas

I’m not really the type to plan for big gifts, and it’s party because I’m a Grade A procrastinator, and partly because I like to show my love and appreciation through handmade gifts, such as cooking or serving something special like a cocktail.

So, for Father’s Day this year, I won’t plan anything big. Instead, I’ll make my dad something that he knows I put a lot of time and [liquor] into.

Manly Drink Recipes

Imagine your perfect birthday or holiday… if you’re a woman it most likely involves being pampered while sipping on a fancy cocktail. I don’t think men are any different, and manly cocktail drink recipes definitely exist.

A few months ago when we took a family trip down to Miami, we stopped by our favorite brunch spots in The Grove. When traveling we love to visit as many places as possible and order a few things at each spot. This is how I discovered these manly cocktails!

The Man-mosa

Yep, you guessed it. The Manmosa is a “manly” version of a classic mimosa. This cocktail boasts more than just your average bubbly, and I’m so glad because everything is better with a little vodka.

Manmosa Recipe:

1 oz L’Orange Grey Goose Vodka

2 oz Simply Orange Juice

Top with Champagne/Prosecco

Garnish with orange slice

Basil Beer Lemonade

This lemonade is spiked both ways! A little orange liquor and some citrus beer make this a fun, yet masculine cocktail recipe for men.

Basil Beer Lemonade Recipe:

1 oz Cointreau

4 oz Simply Lemonade

2-3 fresh basil leaves

Fill with Shock Top or Blue Moon beer and serve over ice

Cheers, and thanks to all you dads out there who are working hard for your families to support them financially and emotionally. Great dads make the world a better place!

2. Hip & Cool

Two of my Dad’s favorite brands are Peter Millar and Cole Haan. Cannot go wrong with items from either of these. There are so many stylish shoes on sale from Cole Haan! I most recently bought him his first Lululemon pants and shorts. Spoil your Dad this Father’s Day with cool athletic gear and casualware.
