Putting on the list of things I never want to do again: Spend an entire day wearing a dress with boning for 14+ hours
Wedding Day Recap: What Would You Change?
Of course, there are things that I would change about my wedding day! Some are big, some are small. It’s hard to think of every last detail, so some small things are overlooked, while some of the other bigger things you ultimately have no control over.
One thing I would have done differently is completely nixing indoor photos at the church. The red carpet and lighting did no one any favors! I also wish I would have carved out more time to take pictures with my daddy.
One big thing I would change is the number of people we invited. It was so much fun, but there is absolutely no way I was able to speak to everyone (plus the more people you invite the more expensive things become).
Some of my favorite wedding day memories came after we ditched the itinerary and started just living in the moment and having fun!
My unexpected change of plans started after the ceremony when I decided to change my hair into a braid.
Lynsey from The Hair and Makeup Collective was so flexible in doing this. She quickly and expertly accomplished the task when we arrived at the reception. This truly was one of my favorite (last minute) decisions.
Best Rehearsal Dinner Dress
After scouring the internet and shopping at countless department stores for the perfect rehearsal dress, I finally found the one!
I wore this Likely Driggs dress in white to our rehearsal dinner and decided to pack it in my mom’s car the morning of the wedding. I really had no intention of changing into a different outfit at the reception, but brought it thinking I would put it on once we got back to our hotel that night, where I knew the party would continue!
A few hours into the reception, I was having such bad stomach pains from the pressure of the boning of my wedding dress. A sweet friend asked how she could help, and I remembered that I had packed an extra white dress! With the help of my wedding planners, I quickly made an outfit change and was back on the dance floor in no time! I was instantly more comfortable inside an out.

This dress looks good on everyBODY; the cut fits a woman’s curves in just the right ways. It comes in an array of colors, so choosing one for your special occasion is easy. It is a simple and timeless dress that can be worn for years to come. Note on fit: it runs about a size small. I am normally a 2 but the 4 fit me like a glove.
