It’s party season! As Pandemic restrictions are being lifted, and the weather warms up, it’s the perfect time for a little party! We are so excited to be welcoming a baby girl this Spring, and today I’m going to walk you through my baby shower inspiration, vendors, party location, and more!
Honey and Bee Themed Baby Shower
When my friends threw out the idea of hosting me a baby shower, I was so excited! They have such amazing taste and know me so well, so I knew it would be executed flawlessly! We decided to do a couples shower and everyone loved it. Since it’s been so long since everyone has been able to get together, it was really special to have everyone with their significant others all in one place.
For a Spring-themed baby shower, I thought it would be cute to incorporate some of my favorite scents and colors of the season which include, honey, bees, and bright yellow lemons!
After coming up with this theme, I contacted my friends at Table & Thyme to help execute the perfect grazing board and catering menu!

Location: Green Trails Clubhouse
Honey and Lemon Margarita + Mocktail for Baby Shower
No Southern Source party is complete without a signature cocktail. The owner of Table + Thyme, Thomas Cox, came up with the most fun and creative margarita that went with our honey-themed baby shower! He made a big batch of honey and lemon margaritas and they were a huge hit! We wanted to make sure all the mamas-to-be could partake in the signature margarita cocktail as well so we made sure to set aside a special batch so that I could add my Ritual Zero Proof Tequila Alternative to make the perfect mocktail!
Name Charcuterie Board
Ok, THIS name charcuterie board was the coolest feature of the baby shower and Table + Thyme executed it perfectly! We decided to wait to disclose our baby’s name until later in my third trimester because I honestly didn’t want any unsolicited feedback. If you’re newly pregnant or hoping to go through your own pregnancy one day, then you’ll learn that your skin will (thankfully) become thicker as your pregnancy grows. Read more about how to deal with annoying people during pregnancy in this blog post.
But, back to this amazing charcuterie board that spells out our baby’s name! How sweet is this!?
Table + Thyme created these custom letterboxes and filled them with items you’d find on a charcuterie plate. They have gained notoriety on social media for doing these in numbers for people’s birthday! I love it!
Check out all the other amazing desserts they made! Everything was absolutely delicious.
